Pretty cut and dry Monday - Friday work days with pretty standard working hours. No surprises for the schedule. No nights and rarely any weekends. They comply with union wages IF THEY deem you eligible.
Cons
Total nightmare. No vacation or SICK days for the first year. I understand no vacation but SICK DAYS?!?! You cant contribute to retirement until your 90 probationary period is over and during open season so only during January and June. I've been here 7 months and have yet to take a drug test. I'm pretty sure I saw one crew member toss another crew member a dime bag of coke. I'm also pretty sure two or three crew members have felonies. I carried a gun to protect the American constitution but they won't give me a key to the shop to come in early, turn lights on and start the coffee maker. But hey, it's one of the top crane companies in America and they give you a free calander every year.
