Pros
Materials are great! Very interactive and possibly the best I've seen for any company I've worked for. There is tons of support through Wechat for everything from payments to technical problems, which is much more efficient than communicating through email. They book you for classes that last anywhere from 2-4 months meaning your schedule is consistent. There are constantly classes up for grabs for substitutes (however they do get snatched up quick)
Cons
While your schedule is consistent, it is not flexible at all. You chose the hours you can work initially and then once they schedule you for those hours you are locked in, and when I say locked in I mean you have to ask for leave 3 months in advance . 3 MONTHS! If you are more than five minutes late, they charge you 20 DOLLARS late fee. That is insane to me. You have to teach 25 hours a month in order to get the bonus on top of the 7.50 per class. So even though I may be teaching five students in one class (especially if you are subbing) if they do not book you enough classes then you do not get the bonus. It's a new company, so I think they are still trying to figure out what works, so some slack should be cut for some of the disorganization and the fact that they hired too many teachers for the summer and had to put peoples schedules on hold.
