      Pros

      Flexibility to work from home, many well-qualified and skilled staff at local levels within individual businesses and pleasant working environment at most sites I visited.

      Cons

      Corporate focus is very US centric and short term - only interested in meeting the numbers for the next quarter. Understandable, perhaps, but it meant they pulled back from any strategic activity in Europe.

      Flexible start time (6–8 AM) and ability to make up missed time. Supportive direct management and good work-life balance. Opportunity to learn a variety of manufacturing skills.

      Cons

      Compensation is not competitive with the current manufacturing market. Limited career growth and advancement opportunities for technicians. Skilled employees often need outside offers to receive meaningful pay adjustments. Random drug testing policy may be a drawback for some candidates.
