Pros

- Strong union after the 6 month probation - It is THE Seattle fire ambulance. It is the singular company of the big three in the area that has the Seattle fire contract meaning they pick up all fire calls from north Seattle to south Seattle. - Supervisors and coworkers are generally pretty freindly - Great stepping stone job for entering into proffessions such as paramedicine, fire departments, nursing roles, and doctor - One of the best paid AMRs in the nation (26/hr in 2025) - It's hard to get fired unless you deserve it - management responds to messups in constructive ways. - rewarding sense of personal agency even outside of the workplace (being an EMT is fun) - A better workplace environment than northwest ambulance (was sued by employees for not giving them breaks) - More relaxed than Trimed (but Trimed is still fine from what I've heard)

Cons

- high turnover rate - high stress environment (duh, it's medicine) - people will try and hit you, spit at you, make weird comments, you'll have to clean up vomit and feces. - you will unlock the ability to identify Cellulitus and UTI by smell. - Many of the available schedules are night shift, and a newbie might have no choice but to take a night shift (theres a $2 night differential) - People generally gain 5lbs after starting the job - The job is not good for your health. - the higher levels of management are still a that of a typical money-hungry company.

Pros

As we continue to strengthen our culture, our Core Behaviors remain the foundation for how we lead, engage, and deliver results across our teams. These behaviors are not just guiding principles—they define the expectations for how we interact with each other, our patients, and our communities every day. At their core, these behaviors drive consistency and alignment across the organization. By prioritizing care, encouraging open communication, seeking to understand, collaborating on solutions, and holding ourselves accountable, we create an environment grounded in trust, respect, and shared responsibility. I am proud to be part of a great organization that exemplifies the core behaviors.

Cons

Success of the Core Behaviors depends on consistent leadership, clear application, and sustained reinforcement over time. This is a challenge that will take time.
