The AMS we once knew has undergone significant changes since the beginning of 2025, particularly with the direction set by the current Executive Committee (Exco) and their revised AMS Strategy, Mission, and Vision. Unfortunately, these changes have not resonated well with many employees, creating a sense of disconnect and dissatisfaction.
The Exco's approach, including a vision communicated through a race car analogy, has felt misaligned with both the nature of our organization and the professional aspirations of the workforce. This messaging has not addressed the real concerns and needs of employees.
Additionally, recent all hands meetings have lacked the authenticity and engagement that previously made them meaningful. Compared to last year when the focus was clearly on people and the sessions felt genuine and uplifting, the current format feels scripted and impersonal.
