Pros

Support staff in the office is second to none. Any time of day you call you can always get help. If you email one of the girls in the office after hours, weekend or holidays you can best believe you will get an answer. Never worked for a company that would answer employees questions after hours.

Cons

The Oilfield is down so they are not many jobs offshore. Contracts are being taken over by overseas companies that pay their employees $800 per month. Companies like ART cannot seem to compete with those rates so American companies and employees lose jobs because Big Oil doesn't care about the American worker!

Pros

I have been employed at ART Catering for the past 15 yrs. I can truely tell the persons joining the company that they will walk into a family owned company. You will not be treated as a number and will have direct contact with all key management, from the dispatcher who sends you out to the jobs to a sit down meeting with the owner of the company. Looking at it from the operations point of veiw, ART Catering is well known for the quality of products you are supplied to work with. Fresh produce, top rated meats and the seafood is soursed out from the local fishers. The vessles that ART Catering manage are of top quality and the living conditions are A-One. Company offers direct deposit, and insurance. If you want fare market pay, good working conditions and great work atmosphere to work at, ART Catering is the choice in the Gulf of Mexico!

Cons

I have really not experienced any great disappointment while working with ART Catering. At one time in the past I felt that the quality of employees was lacking but the soon changed after personnel were made aware of the situation.I think they should pay for transportation to and from home, but no catering companies pay that. I think catering companies in general should petition the contractors for higher wages for all employees.Need to get retirement plan.
