Business outlook

Pros

Pros- decent pay if you’re external/from main bank or an ex co-op employee. Work life balance is what you make it, many early mornings but you can certainly make it work for your family life. Been in retail management for 10 years or so, have seen the changes in the environment across many businesses and how tough it’s become, it’s certainly no picnic but the majority of metrics are achievable and you can develop your own leadership team to support you if you’re a capable leader (not just an inflated stock body) The store hours are good, CTS is considerably bette than other retailers but the task is high at times.

Cons

Cons- There’s some ambiguity surrounding Audits and expectations. Hours to tasks is good but has started to squeeze, not due to removal of hours but increase of task, I.e. Deliveroo/Just eat, parcel returns ect. People services and IT are poor within Asda as a whole, a real sticking point for support on a daily basis and getting a clear answer can be near impossible- hoping once Future is fully landed there will be a long term fix to this.
