Micromanagement here is insane. The senior management (and I mean C suite level) somehow has insane amount of time that warrants their involvement in the most minor of approvals. And we can be talking about having a C suite person approve something that is routine and costs like $50 a year. Not to mention every document/email/slide presentation requires their scrutiny.
- HR here are just messengers. Rules relating to anything that benefits employees such as pay, bonus, increment etc. will happily be changed anytime. I know of Q4 2025 new hires who joined with the commitment that they will be eligible for annual pay review next year and it was even in the handbook only for this to change just last week (in DECEMBER no less) that Oops sorry to be you because we need to "raise the bar". (!!!????)
- Technicians here are seen by management as dispensable.
- There is this very obvious cultural disparity between those who hails from HQ region and locally. The latter are seen as lesser beings who are merely wasting company resources and should be squeezed more.
