Pros

There are definitely no pros. I guess working from home would be the only pro that they have. This place is awful.

Cons

Evidently management has gone on here to do a lot of fake reviews. This is the absolute worst job I have ever had. You cannot be open or honest about anything or you will get fired or wrote up. They are not transparent and horrible with communication. They tell you one thing and do another. They will not pay what you are owed. They change the comp plan to whatever makes them more money and you less. They will make it retroactive causing you to lose commissions. They want you to work at least 44 hours a wk and weekends. You will not have a life and benefits and moving up within is a lie unless you brown nose and don’t sell. They are liars and con artists. Do not work here unless you are ok with potentially getting your license taken away due to the shady things they want you to do.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand that not everyone has the great experience working here that we strive to deliver, and we will use your feedback to positively impact current and future employees in this role. Regarding pay and commissions, we have all employees on commission (agents and leadership) sign and agree to a commission agreement contract, and we strictly adhere to and honor these agreements. We do give agents who are performing well (on target) the option to work overtime and make time and a half on their base plus earn higher commissions, but agents tell us they feel this is an opportunity to earn more, and in no way a requirement. Also, as a licensed agency we work to and are in compliance with all relevant state and federal law insurance in addition to insurance carrier and industry ethics standards. Any ethical or compliance issues reported externally or observed internally are dealt with swiftly, including termination for those in violation of these requirements. We encourage any agent or customer of ours to report potential violations to leadership or the relevant insurance authorities to ensure these standards are maintained. Best, AWL leadership team

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're pleased that you found the role offered steady pay, flexibility, and a remote work environment. We are concerned by your comment regarding feeling verbally abused. Treating employees with respect is a core expectation at AWL, and experiences that fall short of that standard are taken seriously. We also recognize that leadership experiences can vary, and we continue to invest in coaching and development to ensure our leaders are equipped to support their teams effectively. Thank you for your feedback, and we wish you the best moving forward.

Pros

Work from home Quick hiring process

Cons

Must listen to every thing they say to a “T”. Literally no room for error although it’s a mystical facade that we all make mistakes and can learn as long as we are willing to try! It’s $14 an hour an absolutely the most Micro-managed position I’ve had in my whole career. I’m glad that they didn’t pay a wage I had to depend on for livelihood because I was let go after almost 2 weeks of training because I sat on about 10 voicemails in 3 days and heard them all the way through (wasn’t sure what to dispo them as and explained, was praised yesterday for improving and the fired today right before start).

Thank you for sharing your experience and providing candid feedback. We understand that our training and quality standards may feel highly structured, particularly in roles where compliance, customer experience, and accuracy are critical. During training, our goal is to provide frequent coaching, feedback, and support to help new team members succeed and become comfortable with our processes. We recognize that not every role or work environment is the right fit for every individual. While we strive to balance accountability with coaching and development, we appreciate hearing different perspectives on how our processes are experienced by new hires. At AWL, we remain committed to providing remote work opportunities, comprehensive training, and an environment where employees can learn, grow, and contribute to our shared success. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.
