Pros

The company is growing quickly, the product is strong and well-liked by impressive healthcare systems, but the leaders and employees are stuck in a highly toxic environment that could lead to its demise if changes are not made.

Cons

Cult-like rah rah culture that beneath the surface is rooted in fear, mistrust, and burnout. Some leaders are driven by ego, play the blame game, throw coworkers under the bus, while wanting to be liked and praised by everyone. Harassment is commonplace in some teams. At least one leader sends inappropriate and creepy messages to their female employees but the fear of retaliation keep these women quiet. The company’s mission is to reduce healthcare worker burnout, but if employees are not working every late night, weekend and throughout their vacation, they will be fired. While some teams are inclusive and less toxic than others, burnout is a central theme at every level. People don’t trust each other and are afraid to speak up, so slack is filled with shout outs praise, and a ton of self promotion, but if you speak one on one with someone, beneath the surface, people are afraid and miserable. The company’s internal motto is to work as fast and as much as possible to win, even at the expense of smart decisions, creativity, individuality, diversity, and most of all - health and wellbeing. Employees are required to give out their personal contact information and much of the demands happen off work channels. Phones are busy with texts and calls throughout all hours of the night and morning and if you put up boundaries, you’re seen as not being passionate enough about the company and its mission.

Pros

Compensation and benefits remain competitive. The company is also home to many talented and capable colleagues who are a pleasure to work with. The mission and level of ambition are still compelling, and they continue to be the primary reasons many employees remain committed to the organization

Cons

This company was once an exceptional place to work, with strong execution and the resources needed to succeed. Unfortunately, it now feels like an organization struggling to stay on course. The decline in culture has been particularly striking. As recently as last year, the work environment was highly positive and aligned with many of the favorable reviews posted here. However, over the past months, a number of senior leaders have departed, and the company has encountered significant challenges. As a result, the culture has deteriorated at an alarming pace. One of the most concerning issues is the company’s apparent difficulty managing growth. Several leadership hires made over the past year have had a negative impact on the organization, with the most recent addition being especially problematic. Employee dissatisfaction is becoming increasingly evident.
