Pros

AA was founded by two academics and so is especially tuned to the needs and culture of higher education. The sales pitch is very low-key and patient, as most institutions recognize they need these analytical data/tools and so the decisions are just a matter of timing and budget. Also, the annual fee is all-inclusive: no additional charges for implementation, training, or consulting, which is fairly unique among Ed Tech companies. Additional “pros”: • Higher education is a great environment in which to sell • The company is small, so it is easy to connect with people throughout the organization • Realistic expectations about the business environment (and no short-term, “win at any cost” policies like those at VC-funded firms) • Great client relationships • Great internal IT and HR systems and benefits

Cons

The only “con” is that as a virtual organization, there isn’t as much opportunity to interact with colleagues in a face-to-face manner, but that’s an issue in all outside sales jobs/virtual companies.

Pros

The employees and managers are super kind and willing to help you learn. They provide meaningful projects and the option to voice your opinions, so you do work you enjoy. The times are super flexible, and you can work on individual projects whenever is best for you! They schedule check-ins often and always keep you in mind when new projects are being implemented.

Cons

Sometimes the projects are mundane and feel repetitive, but you can always switch to something else. It's very data-driven here so be wary if you don't enjoy research and spreadsheets.

Pros

Remote work, PTO, some good people

Cons

There is no strategy to keep clients. The sales team can make up their own rules and make promises they can't keep so it is an uphill battle for Account Management to keep clients happy. Management has no idea what they are doing and they are just making things up as they go along
