Micromanagement and Lack of Work-Life Balance - Administrative Access Communications Group Employee Review

Pros

The coworkers are the ones who assist you in being able to survive in this work environment, even though there were times when we were prohibited from conversing with each other.

Cons

Working at this small family-owned company has been a challenging experience due to its management style characterized by micromanagement and a severe lack of work-life balance. The company is run by a couple who adhere to a rather archaic work culture, where they seem to believe that unless they physically see employees at their desks, they assume no work is being done. This pervasive surveillance includes having a camera in your face constantly monitoring you throughout the day, along with additional cameras placed strategically throughout the office. It feels as though you are constantly under scrutiny, creating an atmosphere akin to that of a prison. Furthermore, even employees' salaries are not exempt from these restrictive practices. They are expected to be punctual down to the minute, and yet they are required to work well beyond the standard 8 to 6 working hours, often staying at the office for over an hour past 6 PM. Additionally, they are expected to remain available during weekends, further blurring the line between work and personal life. Let's not even discuss benefits and vacations; they are non-existent, and there are no paid sick days or holidays!

Pros

Some staff members are amazing and will help you with everything you need (hopefully, they will be available if you apply to this place).

Cons

A lot of micromanagement, a lack of leadership, and complex and useless processes that waste more time on learning and executing them than on your actual job.
