Pros

Nine to five, office job, clinic work.

Cons

The pay is subpar, the health insurance through them is expensive. I started in the adult medicine department, and quickly realized that it was not the place for me. One nurse thinks she runs the place and the MAs are her minions. That particular nurse speaks badly about everyone including her physician but she’s become indispensable for him. The MAs are disrespectful to their nurses. The first day I introduced myself, they tried to alienate me. When I spoke to the supervisor about this issue she blew me off. Since it seems like the supervisor, that nurse and the MAs are all personal friends, that was a red flag for me to leave. Basically if you don’t mind a toxic, mean-girls environment and brown nosing this is the place for you. If not stay away.

Pros

AccessHealth has some of the best folks working there that are so kind and helpful! They really strive to take care of their community in any way they can!

Cons

Since they’re a smaller clinic, the full time job opportunities weren’t as profound as I wanted it to be when I finished my internship. But that’s business and I understand they have a budget they must stick to!

Pros

The work that you’re doing matters and impacts a community that deserves healthcare regardless of their insurance status or income

Cons

It’s healthcare, so time off and benefits are pretty poor in comparison to other corporate environments, no hybrid days, no sick days, not a competitive salary
