Pros
Good learning curve. Hard ground, but you learn fast and vast.
Cons
One of the most impactful places I have worked in and not in a good way. This company has a lot of potential, but has poor Leadership. Right from the top, the leader is too egoistic to learn anything or take advise from anyone, besides following her mentor, Tony Robbins. It almost feels like a "cult" culture. One thing I can applaud her is her ability to put on quite a show for the outside world. In fact, her review on this platform says a lot about her. Giving yourself a 5 STAR review is a very narcissistic behavioral tendency despite the excessively high turnover rate in your organization. As the CEO of a company, your main focus should be on finding out the root problems that are within your organization and address it in the right manner, Instead, she puts out a PR statement on this platform to brush toxicity in the company under the rug. She takes pride in the Acestar Dance culture, but has that really benefitted staff retention in any way? This company operates in the most "gangster" manner possible: no HR, no proper department for employee affairs, and no clear job description for newcomers. You can be transferred around according to the CEO's whims. The absence of an HR department should be a red flag for anyone considering employment here. The CEO shows no regard for anyone but herself, and the company has lost A LOT of young, experienced highly potential talents. She shifts people around when she suffers from a manpower shortage, which means you might find yourself performing tasks unrelated to your background. While this can help you become versatile, it also leaves you unprepared and open to scrutiny from vendors, preventing you from performing at your best. What happens when you don't perform at your best? The CEO calls you into her room and gives you an ultimatum to either take a pay cut because you are "not performing" or she fires you. If this isn't unfair and discriminatory, I don't know what is.
