Pros
The bells and whistles are pretty impressive - massive office, every snack you could ever want, coffee bar, beer and wine on tap. The compensation and benefits are very solid across the board. The individual contributors at this company consist of very smart and creative people - many long-term friendships are made here.
Cons
Where do I begin? Unfortunately as the company grew, ActiveCampaign began to bring on more and more toxic individuals who have the audacity to call themselves leaders. I've seen sexism, gaslighting, misogyny, racism, harassment, and extreme bias during my time at ActiveCampaign. As leadership continued to hire their toxic friends (who were usually white men), the culture crumbled. The CEO suddenly became spineless and let his boy's club steer him in the wrong direction. There was a definite shift in focus where it became less about building a product that helps small businesses and more about how to make a lot of money and fast. The culture when I left was a culture based around fear. We all watched repercussions happen to teammates who were brave enough to speak up which instilled fear of speaking out. All in all, leadership at this company is a serious issue. There is no true accountability among VP's and Directors and they are all seemingly incapable of truly leading a team. Throw out the whole C-Suite and start over, please.
