Great company at the start of your career, but a boys club at the top - Global Digital Manager Activision Employee Review

Pros

Fast paced, exciting. Good company perks such as events (pre-covid), swag, free games etc. At entry - mid level, there are good development opportunities including being able to move departments/take on projects outside your normal remit to get exposure and experience in areas that interest you.

Cons

Once you get to middle management, the boys club is very apparent. Generally only people from certain backgrounds can secure senior roles. The employee networks are unfortunately lip service to please shareholders - they put all the emphasis on employees (with full time jobs) to drive change rather than enacting it from the top down. While there are a few women in senior positions they are the exception rather than the rule.

Pros

- Decent benefits - Loved some of the people and the environment had the potential to be chill - Ok Bonuses (mid)

Cons

- Some management decisions can be incompetent and baseless - Can be easily burned-out; no work-life balance - Salaries are below average and below cost of living needs. Don't expect much of a raise - Some people were insufferable, but not all - ALWAYS changing and fast paced, which results in really bad decisions being implemented, dropping the quality of the job - Removed WFH
