Pros
- Some great colleagues/mates worked with - The usual private company perks i.e; beers n food on friday etc. - Good locations in London
Cons
- VERY clique. If you're not in the inner "elite" circle don't be surprised if you're completely ignored - from email non-replying, to literally blanking you in the office because of this weird I'm-better-than-you attitude. - Hiring of hopeless, ineffectual, line managers who will not have your corner when needed. Even ones which will get rid of members of their team who they deem a 'threat' to their position or certain illogical product projects to better their own career path. Pas bon. - Constant restructuring which has created a culture of fear. There's also a strange, almost willingness, of a culture of fear which is manifested and allowed to cascade down from upper management, I think to promote the you-could-go-at-any-minute mindset which makes employees bend over and just take whats given. A few years back this review would've been a lot more of a glowing one with more stars but unfortunately in the last few years the general company culture has changed from a warmer, fun, vocationally-safe environment into a clique, top-heavy, up-managing, arrogant feudal system which has minimal direction (always lots of fancy powperpoint 'road-map' docs being shown around but very rarely anything actioned, let alone anything logical). Looks shiny but crumbling and eroding under the facade.
