Pros

The company genuinely has good people, and the idea and mission of Advanced Agrilytics is also the good part of it

Cons

While the concept behind Advanced Agrilytics holds promise, the company struggles with a clear focus on its identity and direction. There is a lack of effective communication between departments and no cohesive plan for achieving goals. Many employees seem underutilized as the company often fixates on minor issues rather than prioritizing the bigger picture. Additionally, there appears to be no concrete strategy for advancing the business. Despite some customer growth, the company consistently falls short of its financial targets. In nearly every company meeting, employees were reassured that missing revenue goals was acceptable because they would be made up later in the year—something that never materialized. Over the span of two years, multiple rounds of layoffs occurred due to budget constraints, yet revenue goals continued to be missed. The company is approaching the end of its investment cycle, and a decision needs to be made to either establish a clear strategy for sustainability or prepare for a buyout.

Pros

Remote work, along with a great manager, makes the GIS team culture very flexible.

Cons

Pay is low compared to similar jobs. Promotions tend to be the carrot that you never quite reach.
