Love the work environment and the people I work with.

Cons

Suddenly, corporate thinks that LPNs are no longer good enough to work for them. That LPNs are not good enough to do a job, that does not require anything out of their scope. Maybe they don’t realize most of the RNs out there, were once LPNs.

Advanced Correctional Healthcare Response

This perception of the organization is unfortunate and inaccurate. Correctional facilities should be staffed according to state licensing and accreditation boards. While we employ some of the brightest, most experienced, and most hardworking LPNs, the organization supports medical staff furthering their education in light of the 2015 Shadrick v. Hopkins County, Ky., 805 F.3d 724 lawsuit, changes to the 2018 Iowa Nursing Scope of Practice Iowa Administrative Code 655.6.3(11)d(1), and other recent news specific to providing care within the correctional environment.
