Not a great atmosphere. As many others have stated, the management will wander around and verify if you are staying on task. If you happen to not be glued to the computer or the phone the moment they come by they will grill you about not being customer focused. At the same time they will walk a few cubicles down and start a conversation with another service engineer and they will laugh or joke around for 20 minutes. All the while you are expected to stay focused and on task while they distract you.
They ask for ideas on how to make things more effective, but rarely seldom do they take the advice to heart. If the idea was not theirs to begin with then they will not implement the change.
The Advantage side of the business is ran by a good ole boys club. Most have only been at the center for less than 6 years. This place is not somewhere where people make a career because of its appalling conditions.
If you work here you are guaranteed to not get a raise. The wage you get hired on at is the wage you will leave at whether that is 6 months or 6 years later. And that doesn't matter if you take on extra responsibility like training new employees or expand your knowledge to other subject areas.
Health insurance is insanely expensive. It was going to be $200/week.
