Pros
Good products (portfolio should be reduced though) Excellent peers - the majority is always willing to help, assist and make you learn (even if you make mistakes!) Very interesting mixture of HW, SW and services, and customers. Salary, bonuses and benefits are quite good, I think. As a Japanese company, your job is quite save
Cons
Very poor lover and middle management. - Has poor soft skills (believes it did something very good if they ok'ed you working from home while you or our kid doesn't feel well). - Do not develop people well. - Too much dependency on direct superior when it comes to distribution of benefits and bonuses, personal/career development. - Annual performance appraisal is very objective to the superior's view/expectations (which he may or may not share with you - till the appraisal...) Poor career opportunities. Fixed ratio of job levels that must be met in EU (guideline from the mother in JP) Very big overhead (headcount) and slow processes (bureaucracy). Most higher management positions are occupied by Japanese people, and they shifted around rather then put the better person in place. Slow in innovations.
