Pros

The owner is a nice guy, who truly cares about employees and is realistic. Some flexibility to work remotely at times. Most that work there are nice.

Cons

Senior level management (besides owner) needs work. They do not help their direct reports to learn or improve. Overbearing direct management. Little autonomy to complete tasks within job description. Direct management does not respect individual's working styles or preferences. Small company that is extremely adverse to change or new ideas. Extremely poor training process. Rather, it is basically non-existent.

Pros

-Company is driven by a Information Technology Service Management visionary who demands a lot from staff but is deeply concerned about their personal and professional development. -Fair base salaries with tremendous opportunity for additional income based on discovery, referrals, and solutions architecture. -Focused heavy on using a System of Management to run the company, based on metrics and data rather than gut feelings. -Allows staff to choose their own path as long as they keep in mind why everyone is working here, to provide value to customers in order to generate revenue. -All staff related to Service Delivery are ITIL Foundations certified and the company recently achieved ISO 27001 Information Security Management certification.

Cons

-No room for staff who don't take their career seriously which produces higher turnover. -401k matching would be nice but all Engineer's are provided with company vehicle and gas card for daily use. -There is a constant drive to be better than "the IT guy" so everyone else held accountable via daily metrics and reporting which is not for everyone (probably a good thing for people who are used to being consultants). -All responsibility for excellence is put on the staff: You can't just work harder, you have to work smarter
