You aren't assigned a particular desk when you're a specialist so you have to share a desk with whoever decides to sit there and aren't promised the same desk every day. The pay is pretty low for the responsibility placed on you. The scheduling is a joke, it's apparently automatically generated as far as 2 weeks out and it does mess up sometimes. I had a shift change and the scheduler set me to work 9 days straight and had 2 shifts right after another ultimately forcing me to stay up 24 hours just to sleep and work again the next day which is ridiculous. I did reach out to management about this but if you reach out to them about anything regarding the schedule they rarely take it seriously but they will be quick to take disciplinary action against you if you tell them it won't work for you. You don't start with PTO, you have to accrue both sick time and vacation time by working, and sometimes, they will use your accrued time without your permission or it will just disappear from your account and you can guess the response when you bring this up. Work here if you need to, but I would keep it short unless you can move up pretty quickly.
