Pros

Been here a while and glad I stuck it out. Things have gotten a lot better with new leaders and so far they've done a pretty good job changing things. Its definitely going in the right direction and we're hiring some really great people. The HR lady and the new managers seem to care about the people here. I hope they stick with it long enough to make all the positive changes they talk about. Benefits are really good plus we get a ton of PTO. Be nice to stay a while and see how this turns out.

Cons

Still a lot of baggage to work through especially with some of the people who have been here a really long time. I like my team but the complaining about the good old days is lame. It's 2026 people, just move on and deal with it. Things have changed everywhere. We're lucky to have ANY remote days. The micromanagement is still kinda demoralizing but my manager is cool so it doesn't really affect me. It's a drag that some people had to make it hard for the rest of us. Hopefully they'll see that we're all doing the right things now and reward that more.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and for your perspective as someone who has been with us through multiple stages of growth. It means a lot to hear that you’ve seen meaningful progress and that the direction of the company and our team is resonating. We’ve made intentional investments in leadership, team structure, and the overall employee experience, so it’s encouraging to hear that those changes are making a positive impact. At the same time, we recognize that evolving an organization takes time, and there is still work to do to ensure consistency across teams and a fully aligned experience for everyone. Your feedback around trust, communication, and recognizing what’s going well is especially appreciated. These are areas we’re actively focused on as we continue to mature as an organization. We also want to make sure employees have a direct line for feedback, especially as we navigate these changes. If you’re open to it, I’d welcome the opportunity to connect personally - feel free to DM me or any member of the People Ops team, or you can always reach us at hr@agatesoftware.com. Thank you again for your commitment to the team and for being part of our continued progress!

Pros

My fellow employees and the work

Cons

Executive leaderships' forced micromanagement on all employees is killing the morale they claim to want to foster. Most of us want to do great work but you can't call us salaried employees if you only want to exploit that designation, but not give us the dignity other companies do. Leadership has structured the standards of a 'salaried' position to their benefit, not the employees by monitoring and enforcing working 'time' (time in office physically) and scrutinizing breaks. Overtime is expected, but don't expect to get time back. 40 or more hours is the standard without the dignity typical salary positions provide. This paired with the increased pressure to standardize against standards that do not exist makes no sense and creates a high stress on boarding process for new employees.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you value your colleagues and the work - those are core strengths we’re committed to maintaining. We also appreciate hearing the concerns you’ve raised around expectations and communication, and we take the experience of all our team members seriously. Our intent is to create a professional environment with clear standards that support both accountability and a positive workplace culture. When expectations or policies are not communicated clearly or consistently, it can understandably lead to frustration, and that’s something we are actively working to improve. We also want to be clear that our goal is to apply policies fairly and transparently, not to create unnecessary friction or stress for employees. Feedback like this is important in helping us identify where alignment or communication may be breaking down. If you’re open to it, we would welcome the opportunity to connect with you personally to better understand your experience. You’re always welcome to reach out directly to any member of the leadership or People Ops team, or email us at hr@agatesoftware.com, so we can have a more detailed conversation and address any misunderstandings that may have been communicated. Thank you again for your candor and for the contributions you make to the team. We appreaciate you.
