Pros
The amount of data AirDNA has about the vacation rental market is amazing. I really enjoyed working with the company's data to put together high quality sales and marketing materials. If you're a data geek, there's a lot to like at AirDNA (at least in terms of the product). I was also lucky enough to have an amazing manager who taught me a lot, always had my back, and was able to act as a buffer between me and the CEO.
Cons
The culture is pretty bad, which is a direct result of the CEO's bizarre and childish management style. During my time at AirDNA, I experienced multiple instances of the CEO telling me one thing, then turning around and telling my boss a completely different story. Leadership is lacking. New features and projects are prioritized because of how the CEO feels during a given week/day/hour, rather than because of what makes sense from a product and engineering standpoint. The overall team is great and very friendly, but the CEO is clearly most comfortable working with men who want to play ping pong and ski. This directly affects the makeup of the team and the company's culture. If you value a diverse environment, AirDNA isn't a good fit for you. Also, no matter wha anyone tells you during the hiring process, you cannot consistently expect to work from home. The CEO assumes that anyone who isn't physically in the office isn't working.
