Pros
As with any job, it is what you make it. If you’re willing to work hard and be held accountable for your results, this a great place to work. It doesn’t mean they expect perfection, just constant improvement. People I work with, flexibility to telework around “life events”, benefits, and an open-door policy Also, I wholeheartedly disagree with the negative “two wheels, one spirit” reviewer below. The pictures I’ve seen and the riders I’ve spoken with described a different experience than the disparaging review below. In addition, our CEO personally made two significant donations to make sure that the fundraiser met its goal of $100,000. This ensured they were able to give over $50,000 each to the organizations directly benefiting NANA Shareholders. Certainly not my definition of “selfish”. Just as importantly, this fundraiser connected Akima employees with our shareholder’s world. The daily team travel journal provided glimpses of a world far beyond the beltway where stores, supplies, and jobs are plentiful. It also raised our customers’ awareness of why we exist.
Cons
Constant drive to become more efficient.
