Good environment to learn new things

It was a contractor position

My technical manager discussed how I would implement software requirements but left it up to me, both of which were nice. We discussed approaches in a free exchange of info but I had disgression. They held pleasantly done events like pot lucks. I was brought on for three months and they freely offered to be references for me after.

The parking was $18 a day at my location and they didn't cover this. Some peers talked badly about others behind their backs too much and I felt lucky to be well liked and not on the receiving end of that. After leaving, I never received responses to any emails I sent them to stay in touch, including me asking them to be a reference when they had offered.
