Cons
- There is no formal training on the technology offered by Alarm New England. They essentially tell you to browse their website, read their online blog, and watch YouTube videos to learn about the company and the products offered.
- Management poorly communicates expectations and sets unrealistic goals.
- The pay is not competitive when compared to regional averages for the respective job title.
- No upward mobility.
- There is a lack of diversity. As a minority, expect to deal with daily microaggressions from colleagues and superiors.
- Employees are not treated equally. Employees with seniority and employees who suck up to management are favored and receive greater opportunities within the company.
- The morale is low because many employees are overworked. They're often not only short-tempered and impatient among themselves but also towards customers which often resulted in complaints. Very poor company culture.
- Employees are encouraged to mislead customers in order to obtain an initial sale, contract renewals, positive reviews, and to prevent cancellations. Alarm New England does not value their customers or employees, and it is evident in their practices.
- Server connections often failed causing a disruption in workflow, sometimes lasting for several hours. Alarm New England boasts offering the newest technology in home security, however the technology and software used by the company is outdated and inefficient.
- Incompetence of Human Resources. Lack of professionalism in correspondence.
- Company won’t be in industry for long, already shut down central station because it wasn’t financially feasible.
- Full-time employees are awarded only one week vacation time per calendar year.
