Pros

CEO is very friendly, approachable & sincere. Co-workers are friendly and hardworking. Depending on your job assignment there can be some flexibility in start times and hours worked. Work life balance is a priority for some divisions, but obviously in other divisions operational needs and customers come first. They offer performance based pay (PBP) for reaching company wide goals and yearly profit sharing. They offer a couple different insurance plans for Washington based employees. The PPO plan covers well checks, preventative care and certain generic preventive drugs before you meet the yearly deductible. They also cover basic dental care and yearly vision exams. In the fall they send out a yearly employee engagement survey, that upper & executive management attempt to use to improve employee happiness.

Cons

Not a lot of opportunities for growth or cross divisional training. Pay levels are on the low to moderate end of the scale and "merit" raises, if given, fall in line with the cost of living adjustment (COLA) for that year. High deductible insurance plan, except for preventative care. Infertility treatment and therapy for "congenital anomalies" (e.g. speech delays, autism services, etc.) are not covered. Company buildings in SeaTac are spread out (miles apart) so depending on your job roll you could spend quite a bit of time driving from building to building to attend a meeting; and then spend even more time trying to find a parking spot. If you work at the airport, plan to arrive at work 30 to 45 minutes early, so you can catch the bus (runs every 15-20 minutes) from the employee lot to the terminal.

Pros

Good work environment and culture. Leadership is strong.

Cons

Terrible compensation practice. Outdated approach, especially with corporate back office roles. Leaders have zero say in salaries. The compensation team has an outdated approach to pay and are not open to stay with the current market trends and challenging to partner with. There needs to be a willingness to change and align with the local job market. There needs to be an openness to listen to leaders' input. Its hard to hire and hard to attract retain good employees when we are competing with local employers in the Seattle area that offer better pay. It is very challenging to work with a compensation leader and team that do not listen.
