Pros
Flight benefits are pretty decent. Co-workers are okay.
Cons
I've only been with the company for a short time but I haven't been impressed by the company's ability to communicate appropriately with myself and my coworkers. I've been misled on numerous occasions about my hire date, my deadlines to complete specific tasks, and any other pertinent information. But, the company will shove down your throat "communicating early and often" with almost none of their "wise" statements ever being put into practice. Upper management is out to get you, full stop. AFA hasn't even done anything to prevent flight attendants who call off because they're overworked, from being fired. We're constantly understaffed and people are leaving left and right. However, my biggest gripe is the training department. These instructors are a disgrace. They claim there isn't enought time in the day to complete what they want yet, I'm convinced the department makes up the day as they go along. I've watched instructors take it out on pupils because their frustrated by time contraints and as learners, we're left to pick up the pieces and make up work on our own time outside of class. It's incredibly disorganized to the point, I do not feel like I am actually retaining information. It's nightmarish, cruel even.
