There is absolutely no sense of teamwork or collaboration here. It's a reactive approach-based workspace, where knee-jerk reactions take precedence over thoughtful planning and collaboration. The negative impact of Alation's poor performance is visible. The stress levels are through the roof, especially among the sales team. To add insult to injury, there are no real team-building events to alleviate the toxic atmosphere. The occasional dinners and lame wine and pizza gatherings at the office are mere token gestures. The teams are siloed. If you value your mental well-being and crave a supportive and nurturing work environment, steer clear of Alation. The toxic culture, lack of teamwork, and minimal efforts towards team building make this a place you'd be wise to avoid. Alation's glory days are clearly a thing of the past, and it's evident that they have lost their way.
