Pros
I wish I could come up with a Pro or two. All I can say is they are a big company with benefits.
Cons
Very poor and in some cases nonexistent company and job onboarding processes. It was a sink or swim work group. Top down, command and control, micro management old school style that inhibited creativity, innovation, and operational excellence. There was a lot of spying and back stabbing as people felt threatened in their job. Management talked a good talk but did not walk the walk. The Safeway merger had deep scars and culture wars that made it impossible to work cross functionally. Yet management put huge pressure and made you accountable to work in this dysfunctional environment. There were too many clicks and silos to gain value from an enterprise perspective.
