Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear that you had a negative experience during your time with Alene Candles and that a Supervisor displayed unfair treatment. Respect is an important part of our culture and one of our core values. While everyone should feel comfortable expressing their feelings, it’s important for our employees to be treated fairly, feel valued, and appreciated. Communication and listening skills are opportunities for development and we have dedicated training each year for our Managers and Supervisors. We’ve also brought Conscious Leadership training to Alene to help reduce drama, promote candor and eliminate gossip in the workplace. Every interaction allows us an opportunity to learn and grow. Again, I appreciate your feedback. Best of luck in your future endeavors. Thank you, Operations Team

Pros

Alene Candles was a great company to work for. People were nice and everyone contributed to the best of their abilities. Alene did a lot of work promoting a very positive culture and added a lot of activities for associates through the years. The company was not perfect, but what company is? Everyone was doing there absolute best and that's what counts. It is amazing to see how a senior leader like the COO knows the people on the floor by name.

Cons

It's a small company with a very seasonal product, so work can be a little hectic at times. This should not be a dealbreaker for anyone who is thinking about coming to Alene. Also, it is a small company so career opportunities are less. But Alene spends a lot of time compensating this by providing a lot of training and development like the leads program.

Pros

None, that place is an absolute mess.

Cons

They don't test for rec use, so between the smell of the candles and the smell of rec sometimes working there is horrible. They are always showing favoriteism. Some people make more money than others in the same role, and they arbitrarily give raises to people in the in crowd. I know of at least 3 peoplen that got money with no extra work doing the same job as everyone else. Manufactiring, engineering, and maintenance are always talking bad of each other. Also, they talk a great game on safety, but allowing ppl to go in feeling nice, or ppl going out on a smoke break coming back feeling nice and no one doing anything about it tells a very different story.Manahement is clicquey and gossipy. I didn't care about leasership yapping to us that Everest was a waste of money and NH needed to shutdown or that the people representing the customer are incompetent or so. I was there to do my job, every day felt like a soap opera.
