Pros
- A company that isn't overly concerned with education and certifications. Alkami is more concerned with your intangible skills that are hard to teach. They know that if you have those, you can achieve anything. - Each employee I work with has a high sense of ownership, teamwork, and accountability. In a growing company, it is so easy for people to say "not my problem I've got my own stuff to deal with", yet no one does. This is amazing. - Alkami invests in their employees with mentorship, training, and fun activities. - Many companies have values, but few adhere to them like Alkami does. - Pay is industry average. Average doesn't sound like a "pro", but in Dallas it is. Dallas is over-saturated with technology sector employees and it's easy to be paid lower than the national average because you can be replaced easily.
Cons
- Alkami is growing rapidly (good) which is causing parts of the business to change rapidly (not so good). If you are uncomfortable with rapid change, it may be hard to keep up here. - As Alkami grows, communication is going to be key. General communication like executive hires, quarterly goals, etc. are communicated well. There are still gaps in communication at the lower levels. For example. A process may change for part of the IT team, but the process change is not communicated and the people putting in tickets keep putting in tickets the old way.
