Pros
Ok pay, ok benefits, should have paid holidays but don't for most non- union workers. Union workers have much better conditions and pay here and better support when management issues. Managers have much better situation. Conditions might be awesome here under good manager but opposite under other.
Cons
Poor that company excludes holidays and makes they come from PTO. Management receives better PTO and won't ever let staff take a day off. If you ask and they say no and you have to take it, even for family need/doctor etc they warn you could be written up/even fired. Limped because they denied time to go to doctor and knew I couldn't take it without approval. Manager said no and then I told her I cancelled it and she said really, are you sure. If she could allow me to go, why wouldn't she just do that? They didn't successfully reward good workers enough to make you want to stay on and deal with the bad workers who hurt department. Disengaged tenured workers bringing system down.
