Pros

The leadership team communicate well and operate with a lot of common sense and realism. A variety of challenges since COVID have actually led to a stronger, more fundamentally sound plant and business.

Cons

The only downsides I experience are personal preferences in the location of the plant. Central Nebraska is "not for everyone," as the state's motto proclaims. You will need to develop the stamina for cold windy winters and hot windy summers. However, Holdrege and its neighboring communities have a lot to offer to someone seeking a small-town, Middle America life.

Pros

Slightly above average wages for the area. Friendly coworkers. The only company I have worked for that has a designated company chaplin. 45 minute lunch break. No working on sundays. 40 hours of sick leave per year.

Cons

Poor health insurance. Only 1, 10 minute paid brake a day, even the company policy leaflet states that you get 2, 10 minute brakes. Any ideas you have, mysteriously become the production manager's ideas. Hours can very anywhere from 32 hours to 68 hours per week. Never sure how many hours you are going to be working on a day to day basis. Poor air ventilation throughout plant. Employee moral is below par.
