Pros

Company product vision and market fit is perfect to capture significant business during the AI wave. Team is super smart and great to work with.

Cons

As a startup, don't always have all the resources that would be ideal, but if I wanted a lot of resources, I would work for a big company.

Pros

* Started as a big data infrastructure company but successfully transformed into an AI infrastructure company. Engineers get hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies across LLM training, inference, GPU infrastructure, cloud storage, and distributed systems, while working closely with many of the industry’s leading AI companies. Opportunity to work with leading AI companies and hyperscalers on challenging real-world problems. * Strong engineering culture with many experienced distributed systems engineers. Great place to learn if you’re interested in systems, storage, or AI infrastructure. * Supportive teammates. Engineers have significant ownership and influence on product direction. * Small company with broad responsibilities and high visibility. It’s easy to make meaningful technical contributions. * Flexible work environment with free snacks, drinks, bubble tea, and regular team lunches/events.

Cons

* As a smaller company, resources are more limited than at large tech companies, and individuals are often expected to wear multiple hats. * Priorities can shift quickly as the company adapts to the fast-moving AI infrastructure market. * Career ladder and organizational structure are less formalized than at bigger companies.

Pros

Working at Alluxio has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s a fast-paced startup environment where you’re constantly learning and growing. The team is highly collaborative, and the engineering organization is truly world-class and you couldn’t ask for a better group of people to work with. One of the things I appreciate most is the leadership. The executive team fosters a culture of trust and gives employees the freedom to take ownership, try new ideas, make mistakes, and learn from them. That level of empowerment makes a huge difference in both personal and professional growth. I’ve been here for over two years, and I genuinely enjoy being part of this journey. It’s exciting to work at a company where innovation is happening every day, and I truly believe we’re going to accomplish some amazing and impactful things in the years ahead.

Cons

Like many startups, there can sometimes be limited resources and things may not always be fully structured. Priorities can shift quickly, and teams often need to adapt and figure things out on the go. However, the culture is very collaborative, and people are always willing to step in and help. It’s a place where you learn to be resourceful, solve problems creatively, and make things work as a team
