Thank you for the feedback. We're responding because the picture painted here is fundamentally at odds with how Alma works day to day, and we think readers deserve that context.
The claim that staff are expected to be available 24/7 is simply not how we operate. Our policies are explicit: employees are not expected to check email or be reachable outside working hours. In rare, genuinely exceptional situations we may need to reach out — but that is the limit of it, not a norm.
