Pros

- The team is incredible: capable, supportive, and always willing to engage in teamwork. This is the only real highlight about working here. - Learning opportunities are there, although mostly from colleagues. Leadership, not so much.

Cons

- Leadership is chaotic, directionless and dishonest: Decisions are made on other occasions without adequate thought on a whim, sometimes contradicting previous decisions. There is no clear long-term strategy; therefore, management can only react with a short-sighted approach. Lies after lies result in a unmotivated, uncofident team. - Toxic culture: Fear, lies and control are the primary management tools. Public reprimands, sudden firings, and all-around distrust give rise to a stressful and demoralizing working environment. - No growth or autonomy: Employees are expected to follow orders unquestioningly. Suggestions for improvements are dismissed or perceived as threats. Initiative is not encouraged; hence, career advancement is impossible. - Suffocating micromanagement: Employees are watched rather than allowed to do their work. - Crazy turnover: Employees are constantly leaving-on their own accord or because of an unexpected firing. This instability adds to the workload for the people who are still there. - Poor benefits and outdated work policies: Work-from-home options are heavily limited, and there isn't any real bonus or incentive program beyond the minimum required.

Decisions are made by owners who are accountable for them, input is encouraged, and we plan with the long term in mind. As we continue to grow, we've also brought in experienced senior managers across teams to further strengthen leadership, structure, and coordination. - Ways of working and accountability: The company emphasizes focus, responsibility, and clarity of execution. This can feel more structured than highly informal environments, but it is intended to reduce ambiguity, support effective collaboration, and enable teams to deliver sustainably. - Team stability and collaboration: We continue to rely on a highly capable, engaged, and collaborative team. Most of our team members have been with us for several years, and knowledge sharing, peer learning, and teamwork remain central to how work gets done at Alohi.

Pros

What stands out at Alohi is the level of trust and responsibility given to employees. You’re encouraged to take ownership, learn as you go, and contribute beyond your role. The team is supportive, and there’s a strong sense that everyone is working toward the same goals. It’s a place where you learn a lot and feel genuinely useful.

Cons

Because the company is growing quickly, things don’t always stay fixed for long. You need to be comfortable adjusting plans and reorganizing your work as things evolve.
