Treat their employees really bad - Work At Home Telephone Customer Service Representative Alorica Employee Review

Pros

Working from home is about the only pro, and even that starts to get old pretty fast.

Cons

Required to engage in obnoxious and pushy sales tactics, not paid when their system malfunctions (which happens a lot), don't pay anywhere near a living wage, company being sued for not paying employees for all their hours. Require you to call a "PAL" every time their software/system malfunctions, but there aren't enough PALS so you end up spending 35 to 45 minutes on hold. They REFUSE to pay you for time spent on hold and THREATEN to fire you if you don't call every time their system malfunctions. Also, they post available hours the day before and then send a threatening email that if you dont work the hours you will be disciplined and possibly terminated. Overall, probably the most piss-poor company I have ever worked for. They will exploit you for sure.

Pros

Telework, managers are communicative with staff and help us get better at the phone calls to pass QA

Cons

Always threatening to fire if we did not try to get people to buy things at the end of enrolling them into Duke Energy
