Pros
Working with clients is very rewarding. Aura of recovery is prevalent, but not main focus. Mostly kind coworkers. Health, vision, and dental insurance given after 90 days. Sick days and holidays/PTO, small bonuses (usually around $100 on holidays.)
Cons
Terrible pay for the amount of work, often overtime and not properly paid, have to argue and defend hourly wage and reimbursements, neglectful Executive Director and CEO, CEO (Tonisha) sends out emails to employees telling them they will benefit financially if more people are admitted, Exect. Dir. (Sarah) tells employees to not discuss their pay and /or bonuses with each other which violates workers’ rights, some counselors indifferent and callous towards their clients, terrible “training” that does not prepare for the essential job duties, hostile clientele often given multiple chances and is very favoritism-based. Benefits do not start until after 90-day period but are okay.
