The question is whether the effort truly matches the rewards. I feel work-life balance can be very challenging for AE roles. Only a few are able to meet revenue targets, and for those who do, the compensation structure may still feel like it has room for improvement. The hours and energy demands can outweigh the financial and emotional rewards, prompting some top performers to move on [since they have options]. Work life balance and financial/career growth are after all not mutually exclusive.
