No advancement, terrible pay, lies from management - Social Media Specialist Alta Resources Employee Review

With such an impressive list of clients you would assume that this company was rock solid. Unfortunately, false promises are made, and the carrot on a stick routine can go on for years here. As an employee for more than half a decade, I received in total two additional dollars an hour for my dedication and service by the time I departed. Pathways to leadership are promised, but when you ask what you can do to put yourself on that path, the answers are either vague or not given. Being led around by the idea of future promotion gets old after about the 4 year mark. If your position is replaceable by a lower paid worker, you should plan on being micromanaged until you are forced to quit from apathy or pulling your hair out from dealing with management. And you will deal with management. A lot. Being chastised for overachieving is also something this company will do. They say, go above and beyond to get the upward mobility, and either ignore or chastise you when you actually do. Listen to the other reviews here as this company seems to have taken a turn and many others are sharing eerily similar stories of being pushed out of the position via an extra toxic work environment.
