Pros

I can’t say there are any pros working here. I dreaded coming to work everyday. I guess one pro is that they don’t have a minimum billable requirement to order dinner during busy season...

Cons

You are at the mercy of the partners and upper management mood. Because it is a tiny firm of 12 people, you feel every ripple...or should I say tsunami Managers play favorites to give more challenging work to, while other associates get left behind and do busy admin work all day and won’t be able to learn anything And one partner in particular takes out all his personal frustrations on the staff and thinks it’s okay to be horribly rude and demeaning. Another manager is extremely grouchy and bragged about how everyone in the past quit after they managed them, like a badge of honor. They will attack people until they cry and show no remorse and are very not understanding Tax season is 70 weekly hours of hell. Churn and burn. And no consistent feedback or training, but you get yelled at for not knowing something anyways. Another employee who quit said they felt like they aged 10 years just working here. There are no seniors to advise staff because most everyone quits after a year This firm is a dumpster fire. Stay away.

Pros

I would not normally complete a review but i can't seem to get past the screen without doing so. I am biased but we are a great firm. :) We have the best employees (smart and hard working) and awesome clients (smart and appreciative).

Cons

Not always great at work/life balance and training but we are working on it,

Pros

It's an excellent environment for rapidly mastering individual tax intricacies, particularly concerning high net worth individuals. Additionally, as you progress, increased responsibilities translate to higher compensation, encompassing overtime pay and an annual salary bump

Cons

It's quite demanding. There was a week where I clocked in around 80 hours, which really takes a toll on your social life. Be prepared to dedicate weekends to work, although the off-season tends to be more relaxed, and occasionally you might find yourself with bored because there's no work. Also, the owner can be difficult to deal with since is approach, most of the time, is to point the mistakes because there's no time to go over the positive side. The good thing is that he's aware of it and he's open to communication so it helps to deal with any concern. Moreover, interacting with the owner can pose challenges due to their tendency to focus predominantly on pointing out mistakes, often neglecting to highlight positives. However, it's worth noting that the owner acknowledges this approach and remains open to communication, which ultimately facilitates addressing any concerns effectively.
