Pros

Not many pros. They have a very low tenure bar and do not care about teaching quality if you have a PhD. If students do not complain about your course you will be left alone when it comes to teaching. High turnover implies you will quickly move up the pecking order (and take on more responsibilities).

Cons

Low pay. High work-load, esp service. Toxic work environment. The university is really struggling financially and does not know what to do about it. Their solution is to cut positions and ask more and more from faculty and staff. Most of their employees are miserable. Its not a fun place to work. I worked there for over a decade and each year I thought "it can't get any worse" and each year I was wrong.
