Pros

I have seen a multitude of technologies in a short amount of time. alot of acquisitions giving a view into both well run and terrible IT environments all of which needs to get absorbed into corporate. nice and smart people all around

Cons

Management is on a roulette wheel. Constant changes in managers, with alot of good people pushed down or replaced with management from companies that went under or were bought and poorly run. Politicians are now in charge instead of people that know how technology works. There doesn't seem to be strategy. only band aids. a lot of effort on putting ideas together but the strategies are left in meeting rooms and forgotten. the new regime loves to spend money on silly things instead of looking for long term savings. simple things like pcs are denied while expensive systems are approved easily. most of my department is looking hard for other jobs which could be their goal right now.

Pros

Co-workers are amazing. Managers are helpful.

Cons

Rolling out an incomplete new operating system was a horrible idea. Creates additional work for adjusters. The processes being implemented are hindering the ability to effectively close claims. Adjusters are being told to do more with less every day. Claim counts average 180 to 200 for the last 6 months with no relief in sight. Hybrid work was promised at 2 home and 3 in office. That was recently revoked and it is now mandatory 4 days in office. With gas prices what they are, that really hurts. Corporate management seems to be focused more on obtaining #1 status and bringing in the big bucks than finding a way to relieve the stress on their employees. Mental health is non existent and if you aren't putting in 50+ hours a week there is no way to stay on top of your work load. Even then you will feel like you are barely treading water. New NICE phone system is for call centers-not claim adjusters. Not a lot of advancement opportunities unless you are someone's pet. Benefits are mediocre at best.
