      There has not been a permanent ED for two years. The organization is in serious financial trouble. The group currently making decisions about its future are not considering the staff, the mission, or the impact on members.

      95% of ALA staff are delightful to work with. The other 5% are working too hard to be delightful. Libraries fill real needs in communities so it's easy to get behind the mission.

      95% of ALA members are delightful to work with. The other 5% are oddly power hungry and exhibitionist.
