Shortly after reporting a coworker for directing profanity toward me, management acknowledged the behavior was inappropriate. Within days, I was on approved leave caring for my mother in the hospital and was terminated via email for “role mismatch,” despite receiving no prior warnings or documented feedback. My belongings were returned the same day by being left on my porch without notice and unattended. Some personal items were missing, and follow-up emails requesting clarification did not receive a response. The workplace environment felt EXTREMELY informal and lacked clear structure, documentation, and consistent professional standards.
