Pros
-The work on the job is typically good, but it largely depends on the site you work at. -Pay was decent.
Cons
-They tend to hire OIC roles to people they are friends with, regardless of if they are the most qualified for the job. The OIC hired at my site was a friend of the recruiter and he had the worst attitude of anyone I've ever worked with in my life. Didn't show any respect and was unstable. A random Anderson Security officer picked out of a hat would have been more qualified for the job. The best part? He lasted 1 month and walked out on the job in screaming rage. -The higher-ups and OIC's truly do not know what is best for the company. I tried to be on an "on-call" schedule to help my site out after starting my own business. They told me they don't operate that way, and I had to quit. From what I hear from the officers still working there, is that vacations are being denied because they can't find officers to fill in. This made me want to laugh because I was willing and able to fill in for ALL those shifts, but they '"don't operate that way" so now the officers are angry that their vacations are being denied and now Anderson has to pay overtime to officers who have to fill in which they HATE doing. They could have paid me at my normal rate for that and I would have been more than happy to take them but hey what do I know, I'm just a security guard at the bottom of the totem pole.
