Pros

Your job will be easy, you can move at a snails pace, very minimal expectations

Cons

Just don't work here. You won't be fulfilled. No one leaves for the day and says, "Wow, what a great job I did today." Most of the employees are nice, and you will get along with them, but as far as a "career," this just isn't it. There's no room to move up. They low-ball your salary, and it's just not a "cool" company. Boring product, no real enthusiasm from anyone on the team. You can see it in the employees eyes. Most are fat, lonely, sad people in their mid 40's. Not a judgement, just an observation. You can tell a lot about a company based on the physical appearance of it's employees, and these are people getting greasy "Five Guys" burgers every day. Does that sound like a happy, healthy, excited-to-be-alive individual to you? This is a safe job, not a challenging, exciting or interesting job. It's for people with no ambition.

Don't forget Shake Shack and Chipotle! There are tons of fast casual restaurants within minutes of Angels offices! We appreciate the tips on success from someone who got fired, most likely for incompetence and work performance that would've put us in the fast lane to bankruptcy. Perhaps if this person spent less time observing their fellow employees eating habits and more time working at faster than "a snails pace"... they would still be employed here. It might serve you well to take a Tony Robbins self-motivation and self-improvement course course since that's clearly what you were seeking Angel to provide you.

Pros

Plenty of smart people. Low micromanagement. High trust in employees.

Cons

If you're not self-motivated or if you need constant monitoring, you're probably going to get left behind.

Pros

I met some pretty cool people. The hours were great. The pay was decent, considering how easy the work is. They are very laid-back, there's no dress code, and they do have several kegs in the kitchen. They like to party. None of that on an individual level was a problem. On the surface, it seemed like a dream come true.

Cons

But small companies sometimes means very little in the way of proper management. I was told explicitly, on my first day, to NEVER speak to the CEO even though he sits maybe 10 feet from me. There isn't a rubric for how customer service agents should handle calls, but they do call grading for reviews. They don't tell you in the job description that sales is part of your job as a customer service agent BUT IT IS. They don't give you a quota but they've fired people for not making enough sales. Promotions are handed out based on popularity, not merit.

Thanks for your review. We take pride in the fact that we don't have many specific "rubrics" for many positions. This is what makes things so exciting at Angel and creates such a huge opportunity for movement within the company. Our customer service department is still growing and on no occasion is anyone ever discouraged from speaking to any other employee, especially the CEO.
